Can you believe it? I know you’re thinking I’ve gone waaaaay overboard this time…….but it’s true. “How in the world can a clock make you fit?”…you say. Well, we all have the same amount of hours and minutes in a day…..it’s just how we use them. By using your “clock” for each day, you can prep and plan exactly what to do, what to eat, and what to accomplish that will help you realize ALL of your fitness goals. You don’t even need a custom fitness program from anyone else, just use your own goals and dreams to realize your fitness needs and wants. Most people don’t even have adequate time management skills, so they claim they “barely have enough time” to get up, go to work, eat, and go to sleep. I guarantee you; you can fit way more than that in your daily routine. Actually, to illustrate this point, I saw something on TV that I think is all too prevalent among today’s society. I was watching a show called Dr. 90210 (I know, I know)……but if you don’t know the premise of the show, it’s about a day in the life of a few Beverly Hills, California plastic surgeons, and their patients that they see on an everyday basis. Well, as I was watching this show, a married lady with two kids was on there saying that she had gastric bypass surgery, and she had lost “abc” number of pounds (I don’t remember the exact amount), and that she was going to get all the excess FLAB cut off on her, because the doctor claimed that she couldn’t get rid of it anymore by just diet and exercise (hmmmm, diet and exercise, where have you heard that before?) Anyway. One statement of hers (she was being interviewed about her previous health lifestyle, or lack thereof) was very telling… “I didn’t have enough time for fitness.” Now, it wasn’t just that she said it; it was how she said it. Almost as if nobody has time for fitness, or should have time for fitness. Almost, that people who weren’t independently wealthy, or retired by 35 didn’t have time for fitness. It was sad, really. They should have just stopped the interview right there, because of that one sentence; I knew how she had let herself go. She didn’t think about her health and fitness, but when things got bad she: • Got gastric bypass surgery – I don’t even need to go there
• Finally started to eat better
• Finally started to exercise
• Still had to go get plastic surgery, because she had let herself go so bad, even all her great lifestyle changes couldn’t fix everything (again more risks because of surgery, etc.) Well, I’m here to tell you that it’s wrong, WAY wrong. Everyone has time for fitness…….and even if you’re in a bind, you have to MAKE time. Like I always say, “Don’t wait till it’s too late.” Hey, you make time to eat, sleep, work, be with your family…….well, you need to make time for yourself. Because not paying attention to yourself and your body, can and will likely lead to various major illnesses as you get older (and not 70, I’m talking 30,40). By improving your time management skills, you can increase your fitness levels to an unheard of amount. You must make a plan and stick with it…….and it will become a part of your everyday routine. And once it does…….you won’t know any difference from your old, unhealthy routine. So, work on improving your time management skills….. you can do way more in your day than eat, sleep, and work. I don’t want to hear any excuses, lol. Fit in a fitness routine……..wake up a little earlier, go to bed a little later, take a smaller lunch break, just do something positive for your health! I know you are smart…..so, use that creative brain of yours and think of some ideas that will lead you to greater health.
